Ambroxol

 

Indication:

This medication is a mucolytic agent, prescribed for various respiratory diseases such as emphysema with bronchitis pneumoconiosis, chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions, tracheobronchitis (respiratory tract inflammation), bronchiectasis, bronchitis with bronchospasm asthma.

 Dosage & When it is to be taken : 

Adult: PO-The recommended dose is 30-120mg/day in 2-3 divided doses. 

How it should be taken : 

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food. 
Warnings and Precautions :  Caution needed for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Side Effects : 

Mild gastrointestinal effects, runny nose and allergic reactions.

Other Precautions : 

Avoid excess dosage.

Storage Conditions : 

Store it at room temperature, away from children.
